Stephanie & Matt       09.20.08

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Steph & Matt couldn’t have asked for a better day.  A week after a hurricane came through town, they had beautiful weather.  What made the day ever better was that everyone was so relaxed.  While Steph’s toes may have seemed a little nervous in the beginning of the day, there seemed to be no worries.  Even when the rings fell, and Brennan, the ring bearer, proudly picked them up, displayed them for Matt across the church, and tied them neatly back to the pillow.

We had a blast throughout the entire day.  You’re family and friends were so welcoming, and everyone was there to have a great time.  Luckily, before the party started, we got some great shots around Wilmington Country Club.  And since you were both up for anything and everything we suggested, it turned out incredible!!  Enjoy the honeymoon escaping the cold weather for Hawaii!

Julia’s Bat Mitzvah     9.19–20. 08

Friday, September 26th, 2008

We have known Julia for quite a few years since she was one of Petula’s violin students, so we were super excited when her family asked us to photograph Julia’s Bat Mitzvah celebration. Earlier in the year I had Helped Evan(Julia’s dad) purchase a camera, he has lots of questions. He purchased one(a nice pro Nikon) and now has the bug, taking many pics during the day, it was great to see that he was so into photography! The ceremony was held at Congregation Beth Shalom in Wilmington and the reception at Rockwood Mansion.
Julia is so talented! She designed the dresses for herself, her mom Nancy and baby sister Sofie. The reception colors and décor were also inspired by Julia’s ideas. Refreshments were provided by the Greenery Caterers and Anthony and his crew from Hot Hot Hot entertained guests of all ages all night long!
It was a pleasure working with the family. Congratulations Julia! It has been a pleasure to see how much you have grown up over the years.

Mike, Jana & Kim

9.13.08   Scott & Jillian

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

The couple: Jillian and Scott Cohen a California couple with roots here in the east coast.
The Pre-Wedding shoot: All around the Brandywine Valley!
Getting Ready: Jillian’s moms house in West Chester
Flowers: Flowers by Yukie
The Ceremony: The Reflecting pool courtyard, Winterthur, DE
Seeing each other for the first time: A beautiful walking path at Winterthur
The party: The Visitors Center, Winterthur
What I remember Most: What a nice bride and easy going couple. It was a very warm and Humid day but everyone got through it, having fun and enjoying the beautiful gardens at Winterthur. Jillian, Scott walked and at times stopped for a kiss and and a hug in the gardens while we were capturing some great moments between the two of them. The ceremony was held outside in the picturesque courtyard next to the reflecting pool. Such an amazing setting to be married in! I wanted to also thank Sally and Gary the brides parents and Ellen and Sandy the grooms parents. It was great working with you!

9.19.08 The Braun Family

Friday, September 19th, 2008

FUN FUN!!! with Silja and bob(mom and dad) and their 2 amazing kids Christoffer (9) and Tristan(5). We had a great time working with everyone! It was a beautiful day to get outside and photograph the Braun Family in action. Silja wanted us to photograph her family because she was referred by a close friend. It was the realness and emotion of the photos that she was excited about. Silja and Bob wanted something different in their photos. They wanted to remember their family as it was that day- not contrived and posed. We spent some time at the Brandywine battlefield and after drove to find some really cool colorful trains!

08.29.08    Tara & Ryan

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Some of you may remember Tara who started at MK Photo as an intern a few years ago. She worked at the studio and assisted on weddings.
Tara and Ryan fell in love at the beach and that is where they wanted to tie the knot. Congress Hall in Cape May was the perfect location for them. Tara and Ryan rented a beach house for friends and family, and everyone enjoyed getting to know each other. It was a three day celebration to be remembered by all who were present.
Congratulations and good luck in Michigan. We will miss you!

Having a bash at “the knot” – Wedding Network Party!

Monday, September 15th, 2008

We were selected to be the exclusive photographers at the recent annual Philadelphia the knot Wedding Network party. It was held at Turbine Hall in Delaware County, City of Chester. It was an honor to be asked, thank you Kendall!
We had a great time shooting all the creative and original decor. There were four “green” themes: The City, The Polar Ice Caps, The Tropical Rain Forest and The Ozone. Each large area had it’s own tasty food creations and a themed special drink was highlighted! It was so amazing how all the participating vendors created these rooms to each have their own mood and feel. Lots of cool lighting, creative set design and colorful furniture transformed The Turbine Hall into a Think Green paradise. WOW! This special event was organized and designed by Kendall Brown of . Eclatante Event Design
Music that filled the huge space was performed by the Group “The Zone”, guests partied and danced till the very end of the affair.
