What a wonderful start to the year at mkPhoto! Meet precious baby N. She surprised our clients from last year – Andrea and Rob and made her grand entrance three weeks early. Alert and full of life, she had her own idea about her first photo session! None of those boring sleeping baby photos. Luckily we were patient until she couldn’t stay awake any more.

We were so excited when one of our favorite couples Hannah and Sam from years past contacted us to document their family and selected the Brooklyn Bridge area for their session. It was a nice fall day and the boys were proud to show us the big bridge!

I photographed Kerry and All’s wedding a few years ago at the Curtis Center. I was thrilled when they asked us to document the next chapter in their lives. Their daughter Abby is completely delightful little girl. She brought all of her fun cousin boys to the session as well.

Another fun session at the Enchanted Woods at Winterthur Estate.
Adam is a pro at posing – this was his third session with us. We were thrilled to meet his new sister Chaya. What a happy little girl!

We met this amazing family when the children decided to give their father a special gift for his birthday – family photos at his home on the Chesapeake. Family drove form all over the East Coast and little rain was not going to prevent us from capturing some special moments. Thank you for having us!

What do you get for a grandmother that has everything? One thing that she loves are photos of her children and grandchildren. They are all over her home. When Colleen contacted us that she wanted to get a photo of all the grand children for her grandmother, we were excited to document the special gathering. We were first scheduled for February 7th at the Crystal Tea Room, but one of this past winter storms completely spoiled everything considering that most of the subjects needed to travel considerable distances. We were finally able to select a date in July when everyone could travel again. The plan became even grander. We arranged for grandma to go for dinner and scheduled a secrete session at her house!
Thank you for all of you hard work Colleen. We truly enjoyed working with you and are wishing we could be there when she sees the portrait.

We were thrilled when Dan and Margaret contacted us to photograph their growing family. It has been several years since their wedding! The boys were a joy to photograph – so much life and great attitude.
Water splashing was their absolute favorite as well as exploring all the wild creepy crawlers everywhere.

It has been almost two years since we photographed Orion. He was such a cute baby then. It was amazing seeing him all grown up! He loves Happy Feet and anything to do with water. The only disappoint was that Winterthur does not have any penguins!
