Remember what the sun looks like? Amy and Eric were lucky. The weather was perfect for their engagement session at Longwood Gardens a couple of weeks ago. They have so much love for each other and easy going personalities…the photos speak for themselves.
We are looking forward to photographing their wedding at the Wilmington Country Club next summer!

Christina and Frank are our heroes. Christina and I connected immediately over our love for all things furry and four legged. We planned an amazing engagement session at her friend’s farm last fall that included their dogs and a beautiful Frisian mare. Unfortunately our shoot was cut short thanks to a nasty accident. We kept Christina in our thoughts as she recovered and decided for a lot safer location for an engagement session round two. Terrain at Stylers was perfect! The flowers were in full bloom and Christina and Frank had so much fun. They are so in love! The evening ended perfectly with a tasty dinner, cheese and wine included at the Cafe.

We can not wait to document their big day in October. It is going to be amazing!

Did I say I rediscovered my love for the Lens Baby. Finding it at the bottom of my camera bag was like Christmas and for all the photogs out there I have never experienced a cooler and sharper lens then the 135 f2.0. Stunning blur! Of course Mike switched to Nikon a while back and is VERY Happy with the performance of his D3s! (J)

What an amazing day with Maddie and Will at Greenville Country Club. They met freshman year at Tulane University in New Orleans. Their relationship survived hurricane Katrina and several years of being apart to finish college. They were the sweetest couple I have ever photographed and I wanted their families to take me home with them! Thank you John Shetron for being my second photographer.

Sweet LOVE:

It is always exciting when old friends and acquaintances share news about their engagement. We have known Lauren since she was a girl – Luciana’s favorite babysitter! Lauren was a pleasure to work with when we photographed her high school senior portraits, quite a model. When her mother called about Lauren and John’s engagement, we could hardly believe that so much time has passed.

Lauren and John met at Wheaton College and they are a perfect match. Their love and friendship is so obvious. We needed to capture their connection in a fun and cheery way that would express their great personalities. When we spoke about John’s proposal, always my favorite story, I knew that ice cream HAD TO be involved. John arranged for a cup of ice cream to be left on a bench by their favorite ice cream shop. Luckily Illinois weather cooperated! When Lauren made it to the bottom of the cup, the best surprise awaited her!

Woodside Creamery in Hockessin seemed just the perfect spot to document Lauren and John’s love.

We can not wait to photograph their wedding in September.
