HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY to my 86′ Porsche 944 Turbo!

HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY to my 86′ Porsche 944 Turbo! WOW! 25 years!
My Porsche celebrated it’s 25th Birthday on September 25th. I gave it a really good bath (with Luciana spraying me with the hose of course) and aggressive drive on the twisty back roads of the beautiful Brandywine Valley. Fun to drive, amazing adrenaline rush that this car handles so well after 300,00 miles. Original engine, paint and lots of routine and preventative maintenance kept me busy over the years. This car was voted by Car and Driver Magazine as the best handling sports car, 3 years in a row. It is known for superb balance, interior driver ergonomics and handling feel. Working on the 944 series Porsche’s is a passionate hobby for me, I do ALL the work and love the accomplishment of fixing things. This past summer a close friend and I restored a Zermatt Silver 89′ 2.7 Liter 944 for my son, Ryan for his 17th birthday. It was great teaching him to drive a stick shift. Some arguing and frustrations occurred during the learning process but in the end the father son experience was the best! He now is a true fan, he has the bug now. : ) It is very rewarding getting together with him and showing him how to keep it going with many do it yourself maintenance projects.

rob - @formerfatguy - Happy birthday indeed. What a beautiful car

Coming Soon – Baby Chase

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

We photographed Liz & Drew’s wedding a few years ago at the DuPont Country Club. We were super excited when Drew called and we schemed to prepare a gift certificate for Liz’s birthday to document the next chapter in their life. We are looking forward to meeting baby chase in the next couple of weeks for his big camera debut.

Congratulations!

Julie & Sean Grounds For Sculpture

Monday, September 13th, 2010

It was a great pleasure working with Julie & Sean and their families. The weather could not have been any better. I have always wanted to return to Princeton and photograph a wedding. The Princeton University Chapel did not disappoint! It was beautiful. The reception was held at the Seward Johnson Center at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. The garden was an amazing backdrop for photos. Big thank you goes to Roxanne and to Jackie from Peachtree and Ward for the smooth flow of the night’s events. The beautiful cake was designed and created by one of Julie’s friends. Julie’s brother Dan was her Man of Honor and his speech was one of the best I have ever heard!

Congratulations! Thank You for having us.

Heather & Brent      Winterthur-An American Country Estate

Monday, August 16th, 2010

A nice relaxed summer outdoor wedding with Heather and Brent at Winterthur-An American Country Estate, located in Greenville DE. We started out with Heather getting ready at the couple’s home in Avondale, PA. We had such a great with mom, Heather, and the wonderful bridesmaids. We captured many nice creative shots on their property, a golden wheat field, which was the perfect setting for the feel that Heather loves. The ceremony took place outdoors by the reflecting pool at Winterthur. It was an awesome experience to witness the special event among the gardens and excited guests. Following the ceremony we had some time set aside to be creative and have fun with Heather and Brent! Brent was even given permission to have his special all black Harley ready for a short ride with his new wife! WOW it was great to have the “guy” get his moment too. :) Later… the reception outdoors in the same location, lots of accent candles, cool mood lighting accenting the party. It was magical. Thanks to Nicole Bailey, and all the efficient and professional staff for making the day work! We LOVE working with you and shooting at Winterthur! We call it “heaven” for photographers! This was the first evening wedding reception by the reflecting pool! Perfect! The food was beautifully presented by Restaurant Associates, I remember the refreshing lime sorbert. Yummy….. And we cannot forget the memorable wedding cake created by Liz Marden- Gourmet Cakes and Desert Inc. PARTY-PARTY & DANCING under the stars to the sounds of Silver Sound from the one and only Steve Croce. Great job! A very special thank you to Larry and Star the Father and mother of the bride and Randy and Ann the parents of the groom. Thanks for making us feel at “home’ with your family and friends.

Happiness, Love, and Health,

mike and jana
