Lauren & Vince    9.27.08

The couple: Lauren and Vince
Getting ready: Bride’s family beach house in Avalon
Ceremony: Maris Stella Church in Avalon, NJ
Photos: Avalon boardwalk, beaches and jetty
Reception: The amazing Avalon Yacht Club

It was a great pleasure working with Lauren and Vince’s families. After a rainy Friday we were a bit worried about photos on the beach, but the weather could not have been any better. The couple met in Sea Isle City, NJ and getting married at the beach was a perfect choice! They even had a banner plane fly overhead during cocktail hour.
The sunset at Avalon Yacht Club is always a great opportunity for amazing photos.
Congratulations Lauren and Vince! Have a great time on your honeymoon!

On the walls at Starbucks! “Images from out West Collection”

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Well I hung all sixteen prints last week, wow that was tough trying to decide what print went where. I even had to hang a few prints in the bathrooms/hallway because I ran out of space in the main serving area. It was such a great feeling to hear the customers commenting on the artwork! I mingled a bit with the guests and and answered questions that they had about the trip and the photographs. Things are going well after a week, almost all of the complimentary post cards have been taken by interested customers. If you don’t know already I had 50 custom postcards made of each print for Starbuck’s customers to take with them. They are a hit! I needed to order more today. These post cards will be available for free for the duration of the show which runs between Oct 4th -Nov 3rd, After that the entire collection of 16 custom made glossy cards will be available for purchase. The price for the entire collection(16 different cards) will be 25.00. If you would like to view them check them out here

“Best of the Best- Say yes to the Dress” September Winner Announced

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Congratulations to Elizabeth Foradori now Liz Potosky! Your wedding dress won the September “Best of the Best- Say yes to the Dress Contest”! There were so many votes this during this contest, the excitement was much more than we expected! Thanks for everyone who submitted your vote on our blog. With over 150+ votes out of 275 you were clear the winner! The designer dress “Angelique” was created by well known designer: Monique Lhuiller. Liz chose this dress because she was looking for a “unique dress with a antique Parisian feel”. She also wanted it to be a very “light” weight dress since her wedding was in the peak summer month of August. The dress was purchased from the Bridal Garden located in Marlton, New Jersey.

9.26.08   Sarah and Bill

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

What a great couple Sarah and Bill are!! From the first time I met Sarah I knew I wanted to work with her, so sweet and pleasant. Bill is so easy going and laid back. Jana and I started out at Sarah’s moms house in Drexel Hill. Speaking of mom and dad just like Sarah, kind and giving- all day we felt like family. Sarah and Bill were married at 5:00 pm at the St. Andrew’s Church in Drexel Hill, PA. The evening party was hosted by Drexelbrook, just a few minutes from the church. Outside of the Drexelbrook we captured some really nice photos as it was getting dark. Moody and romantic…… And speaking of romantic they are on their Honeymoon, enjoying the tranquil beauty of Tahiti! Have a great time!

Stephanie & Matt       09.20.08

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Steph & Matt couldn’t have asked for a better day.  A week after a hurricane came through town, they had beautiful weather.  What made the day ever better was that everyone was so relaxed.  While Steph’s toes may have seemed a little nervous in the beginning of the day, there seemed to be no worries.  Even when the rings fell, and Brennan, the ring bearer, proudly picked them up, displayed them for Matt across the church, and tied them neatly back to the pillow.

We had a blast throughout the entire day.  You’re family and friends were so welcoming, and everyone was there to have a great time.  Luckily, before the party started, we got some great shots around Wilmington Country Club.  And since you were both up for anything and everything we suggested, it turned out incredible!!  Enjoy the honeymoon escaping the cold weather for Hawaii!

Julia’s Bat Mitzvah     9.19–20. 08

Friday, September 26th, 2008

We have known Julia for quite a few years since she was one of Petula’s violin students, so we were super excited when her family asked us to photograph Julia’s Bat Mitzvah celebration. Earlier in the year I had Helped Evan(Julia’s dad) purchase a camera, he has lots of questions. He purchased one(a nice pro Nikon) and now has the bug, taking many pics during the day, it was great to see that he was so into photography! The ceremony was held at Congregation Beth Shalom in Wilmington and the reception at Rockwood Mansion.
Julia is so talented! She designed the dresses for herself, her mom Nancy and baby sister Sofie. The reception colors and décor were also inspired by Julia’s ideas. Refreshments were provided by the Greenery Caterers and Anthony and his crew from Hot Hot Hot entertained guests of all ages all night long!
It was a pleasure working with the family. Congratulations Julia! It has been a pleasure to see how much you have grown up over the years.

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

The couple: Jillian and Scott Cohen a California couple with roots here in the east coast.
The Pre-Wedding shoot: All around the Brandywine Valley!
Getting Ready: Jillian’s moms house in West Chester
Flowers: Flowers by Yukie
The Ceremony: The Reflecting pool courtyard, Winterthur, DE
Seeing each other for the first time: A beautiful walking path at Winterthur
The party: The Visitors Center, Winterthur
What I remember Most: What a nice bride and easy going couple. It was a very warm and Humid day but everyone got through it, having fun and enjoying the beautiful gardens at Winterthur. Jillian, Scott walked and at times stopped for a kiss and and a hug in the gardens while we were capturing some great moments between the two of them. The ceremony was held outside in the picturesque courtyard next to the reflecting pool. Such an amazing setting to be married in! I wanted to also thank Sally and Gary the brides parents and Ellen and Sandy the grooms parents. It was great working with you!
