Danielle & Stefen Martilini

Danielle was one of the braids maids in a wedding that Mike photographed in 2006. Danielle and Stefen’s adoration for each other shone through from the very first time I met with them. We had a blast during their engagement portraits at Appleford last summer, and we created custom save the date cards and a beautiful guest sign-in book.
I knew their day would be special because they put so much attention to detail. Danielle designed her wedding décor around the theme of antique lace and pearls. Everything complimented the historic, farm feeling of Appleford mansion so well, including her very unique dress by the Spanish designer Manuel Moto . The weather could not be any nicer, and the food by Robert Fair Caterers kept all of the guest happy. Danielle and Stefen thought of everything from custom raspberry Martilinis with monogrammed stirrers to a cigar bar and Martilini labeled wine. Look for an inspiration board in a few days!
As I am writing this, they are enjoying two weeks in Hawaii. Congratulations to both of you and your amazing families!

Some down time with Family

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

It’s not all about work..all the time. The “off” time is so important to me! I don’t want to miss it! Luciana is growing up so quickly WOW! And look my 15 year old son Ryan is 6’3. He will be a High School sophomore this fall. My other daugther Danielle, who is 18 was working that day. She currently attends Syracuse University. Thanks Jana for capturing some family time. I appreciate you helping out.

This past Monday Angelique and I donated our photography services to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). It was the annual Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Golf Classic . We were so honored to be asked to cover this special event. and It felt so good to lend a hand for an awesome cause! We worked directly with PR representatives Bailey White & Meghan Wright of CHOP. They were sooo helpful and optimistic all day(despite the early morning rain). This was a rescheduled event that was cancelled last month due to heavy rains. We were all crossing our fingers :) The sun came out just in time for the shotgun start! Joni Blum from LSL organized the silent auctions and was a huge help with all the events throughout the course of the day.

Bailey - Hi Angelique, I am overwhelmed with the gorgeousness of these photos! Not to mention the beautiful presentation box and ribbon. You and Mike did such an amazing job and I can't thank you enough for how well these photos are organized, labeled, everything! Thank you so so much for sending them early. Such a pleasure to work with you and I'm looking forward to more events with you! Bailey

Oh no…. I’m in trouble, she’s only 5!

Maria and James married on June 1st at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Wilmington, DE. Maria, you are a sweet heart of a bride! You are so fortunate to have a family that is full of tradition and love! I was married at the same church, my wife being Greek/Italian and I can REALLY appreciate the Greek traditions and how family values are so important. We had such a great time on their wedding day! We spent some time at Deerfield Country Club(where the reception was held) with the Maria, James and Bridal party. Lots and lots of Greek dancing! Lots of money in the air above the dance floor! Lots of good times! Maria and James will be Honeymooning in Hawaii for the next 2 weeks. Have Fun guys!!!
Best wishes,

Jana and Mike

Maria and James - Hi Jana, Thank you for the well wishes. Maria and I got back from Hawaii Sunday and had an amazing time. We stayed up pretty late last night looking through the pictures (we'll be getting to the rest of them tonight) and I must say that we are both absolutely amazed. The pictures are just incredible and I am personally grateful to have such striking pictures of Maria on our wedding day that I will certainly cherish forever. James

The Special Couple: Jennifer Lizzio and Justin Ettore
Pre wedding shoot: Rittenhouse Square-Philladelphia, PA. Had such a great time walking around the square went to the Continental and to The Rouge. It was such a relaxed shoot with so few set up or “posed” shots. They wanted to get the feel of that area and enjoy themselves where they have spent some much time together.
The wedding day: Temp: 95 degrees with 85% humidity! We did it… and Jen and Justin NEVER complained! They wanted pics outside and just did it! WOW they were amazing!
Picture Locations: First National Bank(Old City) where they met for the first time and over to the Rodin Museum with the bridal party
Ceremony: St James Catholic Church- Philadelphia with NO air conditioning! It was not working! Such a beautiful church and ceremony.
Reception: Cescaphe Ballroom-Northern Liberties-Philadelphia
What I remember most: Just how well they delt with the heat and how understanding Justin was. Jen wanted outdoor photographs and with a tux on in the 95 degree heat never complained! That’s love! We also felt very special to be a part of their day, they trusted us to make some special photos and it was so nice to have the creative freedom to do so. Thanks Jennifer and Justin!

Cindi Deal from the Bridal Garden helped with Jens dress and was great support ALL DAY!

Cindi Deal - Hi Mike, I always have sooooooo much fun working with you and Janna! Jen, Justin and the whole bridal party repeated throughout the day how great you were to work with. I know they'll be blown away by their album. I'll keep you posted on the getaway! luv you lots xoxoxoxoxoxo Cindi

Jen (the bride) - Hi Mike & Jana!! We are back from Hawaii and I wanted to thank you both for an amazing time that day!! I am so glad we survived that heat (and then to top it off the no air conditioning in the church). It was actually cooler in I just want to tell you both that the pictures are absolutely amazing. I LOVE them. I can't stop looking at them. You both were so great to be around all day. It was alot of fun!! We cannot wait to create our album. It has been such a pleasure working with you and your team throughout this whole process (even the engagement session was also a blast). Love, Jen & Justin P.S. To any future brides reading this blog I highly recommend Mike and his team for your wedding day photos (or any event). Personality is a big deal!! You want to LOVE to be around the people who will be with you all day on you wedding and Mike and Janna were so great to be around all day...they are alot of fun and they made everyone in the bridal party feel so comfortable. And the pictures of course speak for themselves...they are absolutely beautiful.
